“Leaders must give their people a great, big hug.”

Recently, I had a chance to meet Ken Nwadike Jr - the celebrity you know as the Free Hugs guy. Ken’s story is amazing, and I strongly suggest you watch his work on YouTube and support it where you can. His message is clear and insightful: Even in the midst of difficult situations, when we can find ways to come together — sometimes literally in a hug — we can discover solutions to our most pressing problems.
In Ken’s work, he’s often on the front lines of street riots and civil unrest where he attempts to defuse tensions, create dialogue and discover even the smallest steps toward resolutions. You can also find him out in public, offering ‘free hugs’ to unsuspecting passersby, who, enthusiastically take him up on the offer —
To their mutual great joy and to others who witness it.
