Hi Hilary; thanks for your note; it does seem like there's an extra step in here for some reason. I was not away you had to be logged in to download the PDF link. That's a step we want to reduce for you. Let me find a way to put the file up on a simple download link and I'll ping you (or you can email me at info@matthewferrara.com and I'll send you the PDF link directly too) Sorry for the difficulty! Appreciate your interest in our e-book.

Thanks Matt.

I'm also trying to figure out how you created the download/pdf link thing on your post. I have looked all over the Editing page and can't find a button that says "PDF download" or anything like it.

That one I can answer easily for you: just drag and drop a PDF into a post and it will turn it into a downloadable file. You can then edit the placeholder and update a photo, description, etc. It works with other file types too - like EPUB, XLS, PDF, and of course videos and photos. Let me know if you get stuck - happy to help.

Sorry, but I really don't know what drag and drop means. THere's no URL attached to a pdf, so there's nothing to insert into the editing window.

To "drag and drop" you use your mouse to click/hold/move the PDF from your computer's desktop/folder "into" the browser window while you are editing a post on Substack. Like a big game of Solitaire, but you do it with the PDF file directly into the article/post.

Thanks. I'm not usually such a luddite, but most of this website stuff is completely new to me. I'll try.
